Mickele Amonini believes that half of winemaking is in the growing of the grapes.
That's why he spends so much time in the vineyard throughout the year, ensuring that come harvest he knows that his grapes have had the best care.

"A lot of people believe that the art of wine making starts with the crushing of the grapes, but unless you dedicate an enormous amout of time and energy to producing the best grapes you can, your simply not going to be able to make great wine.
"Knowing the area, the climate and the soil properties is essential for knowing which varietals are suitable for your region, what will give the best yeild and flavour. We're lucky in the Swan valley in that there are quite a few different wine styles we're able to make.
